Outstanding Performances
The FEI Jumping World Cup Final delivered an unforgettable weekend of international sport, and three riders from the Young Riders Academy stood out with exceptional performances on one of the biggest stages of the season.
Sophie Hinners secured an impressive 5th place, delivering four consistent and courageous rounds with her talented partner, Iron Dames My Prins. Close behind, Richard Vogel confirmed his status among the sport’s elite, riding his trusted United Touch S, with a brilliant 6th place finish.
Completing the trio, Vince Jarmy and Carbon Girl made a remarkable debut in his very first senior championship, closing within the top 15 and showing great promise for the future.
Words from the Riders
“I’m very blessed. My horse, Iron Dames My Prins, was amazing all week. He jumped four impressive rounds and finished with a clear today.
We ended up fifth overall and I’m very, very happy with that.”
– Sophie Hinners
“Very delighted with our performance as complete newcomers at this level. Certainly a motivational experience and a great result for my first senior championship.
Endless people to thank for the help and support along the road so far. It wouldn’t have been possible without my great team, and I’m extremely proud of my horse—she really fought for me.”
– Vince Jarmy
From the Academy
“Of course, the credit for the fantastic performances of Vince Jarmy, Sophie Hinners, and Richard Vogel goes to them and their teams.
But having them as part of the YRA has been an honor, and we can proudly say we are very proud of them.
It’s a joy to see them flying towards success.”
– Eleonora Ottaviani, President of Athenaeum and YRA
Looking Ahead
The Young Riders Academy is proud to celebrate these athletes—not only for their sporting results, but for the passion, commitment, and professionalism they bring to the sport.
Their presence in such a prestigious international final is a strong reflection of the Academy’s mission: to support the development of talented young riders, and help them grow both in and out of the arena.
We look forward to following their journeys and watching them continue to inspire the next generation.
