I’m an international showjumper from Ireland and and I have been involved with horses since the day I was born, as both my father and grandfather were involved with them. My father, Adrian Williams, was also successful in the sport and won several international Grand Prixs before I was born. When I came along he gave up his career in the sport and put all his time into me and my younger brother and together we’ve built up an amazing facility at PARC Stables.
In my career so far I have been lucky enough to have had many days to remember. Some of my favourite victories to date would have be 2018 European Champion, 2019 World Cup Finals, 2022 European Team Bronze, 2023 European Team Gold and several international Grand Prixs.
The ‘Young Riders Academy’ has been a dream of mine since I’ve been young and I couldn’t be more privileged to be a part of this year’s programme. The main reasons why I wanted to join the academy was to develop my horsemanship skills and become the best version of a horseman that I can be. Another one is because of some of the world class trainers that are on the panel. They are legends in the sport and have been idols of mine for years now, and I think it’s great that the younger generation get to learn from the worlds very best.
I am more than ready to put my best foot forward and give the academy my 100% respect and commitment this year. With a combination of top class training and developed horsemanship skills, I believe that it is a great foundation to have in order to reach the highest level of the sport. With all the help and opportunities from the YRA, the help from my parents and all my sponsors, I believe that’s where we will end up sooner rather than later.
